These are the projects from the class that I believe were my strongest pieces of work. Whether an essay, website, podcast, or video, I think that each of these display strong rhetoric and compelling ideas. These works reflect my passion for different topics, and my perspective on the world.
This I Believe essay and podcastThis project was based off the more popular podcast series, "I Believe". We had to write a essay and record a podcast on something we believed, and felt strongly about in our lives. My podcast was on how only you can make yourself happy.
Paradigm Shift EssayFor the paradigm shift essay, we had to write about a topic and how it changed over time. I talked about themes in Disney movies and how they changed over time. I researched themes, movies, and lessons of all types of Disney movies.
Multi-media textFor the multimedia text project, we had to talk about a topic in society. We didn't necessarily have to pick one side, or another, and advocate for it. It was mostly giving facts about the topic, explaining it over time, and doing research to properly explain it. Our video is on the death penalty.

Advocacy Project For our advocacy project, we had to create a platform to either advocate or provide action for a specific topic. My topic was based on teenage mental health, and what you could do to prevent it. The websites provides tips to prevent mental illness and facts about teenage mental health.
Persuasive EssayThe persuasive essay was an essay where we had to talk about something we think should be done. The goal was to persuade the reader that this action should be pursued, and show why it is important. I wrote about how we should be talking about mental illness in schools, or how it should be built into curriculum.
